FoLL Visionaries

Tom McDonough retired from the project he took from idea to reality.  In his three+ years as project director, Tom pulled together a coalition of volunteers and established relationships with six independent school districts around Lake Livingston.

There were many who helped Tom along the way, none more that Ed Parten of Texas Black Bass Unlimited. Ed lost his battle with brain cancer in early 2018 and will always be remembered for his tireless efforts to improve Texas black bass fishing.

To commemorate the commitment of Tom and Ed, Friends of Lake Livingston has established the McDonough-Parten Scholarship. Awards will be made annually to high school students who participate in the program and plan to enter an associate field.
